Summary
Imad Rahim is an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Department of Accounting & Finance, FAST School of Management, FAST-National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences, Islamabad, Pakistan. Imad's research interests primarily focus on the monitoring role of foreign institutional investors in corporate strategic decisions worldwide, alongside other corporate governance and corporate finance considerations. Imad has contributed to publications in peer-reviewed journals of international repute including the International Review of Financial Analysis and Asian Review of Accounting. In addition, Imad contributes to the peer-review process for several local and international journals.
Imad completed his PhD at the NUST Business School, NUST in 2025. Before joining the FAST School of Management in 2026, he held the position of Lecturer in Finance at the National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad from September 2021 to January 2026. Previously, he also served as Instructor in Management Sciences at the FAST School of Management from August 2018 to July 2021.
Imad's research centres on studying various dimensions related to the effectiveness of monitoring by foreign institutional investors in corporate strategic decisions around the world. His research explores multifaceted aspects of foreign institutional monitoring, including investment horizon, economic weights within cross-border portfolios, and governance quality in the home countries of foreign investors.
